During
the earlier part of 2000, we successfully built a large “Close
Coupled” Reactor Cyclone system for Esso Fawley. The outstanding feature
of this assembly was the accuracy of the fabrication combined with the use
of Warner Land Surveys, who used 3-dimensional laser survey and modeling
to prove the accuracy of the fit up without
the need for a large pre-assembly. The accuracy and methodology was proved when the Unit was assembled at L&T works in India, prior to being assembled into the vessel sections and shipped back to Fawley. The time savings and thus cost savings of this method can now, reliably, be incorporated in any bid package. Both Qualfab and Warner Land Surveys would be delighted to discuss any details with clients.
Completed Cyclone assembly awaiting Plenum chamber at L&T.
