We have two workshops in the U.K. giving us the capacity and flexibility to manufacture equipment of all sizes from 1mm thick vending tanks up to 26 tonnes of chemical reaction tower.

Plasma Cutting

At Qualfab we use an ESPRIT Viper set up, with the capability of cutting plate from 1mm thick to 25mm. Maximum plate size we can fit on our bed is 10 metres x 3 metres and cater for different steel grades from all Stainless steel to CR/MO, C/S (BQCS) and CMO. We run our profile with the software package Procut. Our team of material take off engineers can take you drawings and convert them to the desired shapes to manufacture your product with great accuracy.

We run a strict program of PMI so that all your materials are traceable to the supplier.

In the same shop as our profile cutting equipment, we have a dedicated team whose sole jobs are plate edge preparation ready for forming and welding and plate marking for rolling.

Welding

Qualfab has many years of experience with MIG, TIG and coded flux core welding. All of our welders carry out their work professionally and with pride. Our coded welders are qualified to ASME VIII DIV. 1. We also offer automatic robot welding (straight seams), all of our welding machines are of high quality and calibrated on a yearly basis. We have close relationships with all of our machine, consumable and wire suppliers, so whatever your welding needs are we can cater for them. We can also offer a range of NDT weld inspection. Among our specialities we are able to offer hard faced welding.

Again, our PMI procedures make it easy to track all consumables.

Valve Manufacture

We have been manufacturing Trickle and Flapper valves for FCCU (FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING UNIT) applications for many years, our fabrication methods are well perfected to a high standard. Working with our customers and their inspectors we have built a good relationship structure within the industry.

Furnace Heat Treatment

Our custom-built furnace is one of the largest in the U.K. with a bed of 15000mm long x 4500mm wide with a height of 3000mm. Fully programable and automated for any heat treatment you need with a maximum heat of 900 degrees.

Fabrication

Qualfab Ltd can offer bespoke fabrication from production of drawings to the finished product. We can offer all services in house.

Refractory Lining

Our refractory installation service, of which Qualfab has many years of experience, is in the neighbouring unit to our furnace, this means no long travel time for post refractory heat treatment. We can offer a full package including refractory testing (at outside laboratories).
